The deep golden colour is a result of maturation in American white oak ex bourbon casks, Matusalem oloroso sherry casks and Cabernet Sauvignon barriques and it tastes as good as it looks.
The nose is all caramel as you’d expect but with overtones of shortbread and chocolate and a hint of cinnamon.
The taste is again caramel and vanilla with hints of ripe banana and it finishes with dark chocolate, orange and cloves.
First time I tried this it was paired with a Partegas No4 cigar and the balance was magnificent.
