Seems odd to start the blog with an Irish whiskey but there you are, there’s no rhyme nor reason to dramming, as Bob Marley may have said once!
I visited this Distillery on Thursday past and met the small friendly team. They’re a new distillery that only opened in March of this year with a refreshingly open and welcoming attitude. Chloe invited me to taste the range of whiskies which I did. The first was very young, like VERY young with light flavours. My favourite however was the Single Grain finished in Bordeaux casks. It had a good nose and tasted of vanilla, toffee and honey which didn’t linger but was replaced by a pleasant sea-salty aftertaste
