This dram has a wonderful deep golden colour commensurate with it having been matured in Pedro Ximenez casks.
The nose is milk chocolate with Brazil nuts and honey.
The palette is simply magnificent. Smooth and mellow with chocolate and butterscotch.
The finish is really mild and not nippy at all, so much so that even my wife likes this!
I’ve read reviews criticising this malt but I couldn’t speak more highly of it. Like music, whisky is subjective so make up your own mind but I’d drink this anytime.
